Mehboob on Adult Love

To My White Butterfly

Adult love is based on convenience. Adult love is based on supply and demand.

You can love someone and not think about a second-hand scooter, but you’ll find yourself worrying about how to start your scooter while she’s waiting for you. You panic, not being able to tell her that your scooter broke down, and you end up saying things just to make it seem like you’re still capable of sustaining a relationship.

Adult love is based on economics, not on literature. On paper, it sounds amazing that someone is ready to struggle with you. In reality, your struggles are yours. Even your parents give up on you after a certain point.

I am someone who falls in love perpetually, like a teenager who believes love is enough and rarely thinks about what marriage demands in the real world. Four Stages Media is being born from the realization that loving without the ability to provide is not enough.

I am choosing to claim ‘money’ (a human-made value mechanism), which is relatively easy for me to earn with the potential I have, just so I can eventually challenge the system with imago.chat and help create a creator economy where, upon creation, the creator gets their value and does not have to wait for years to claim it.

In my system of economy, creativity gets paid, not mechanism. All mechanical tasks and mechanical jobs will eventually end, and only creativity will remain.

For the next two years, I am in a relationship with my work. You’re a fictional character for me from today onwards.
